Privacy Policy

Block City! is developed by Onur Genç. This policy describes how the iOS game handles information. It applies to Block City!, not to other games on this website.

Playing without an account

No account is required. The game does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, payment information, or precise location. This release contains no advertisements or in-app purchases.

Information stored on your device

Your saved game, best score, building collection, tutorial progress, and sound and vibration settings are stored locally. These saves are not synchronized through a player account. Removing the app may delete them; device backups can affect whether they are restored later.

Gameplay analytics

The iOS game uses Google Analytics for Firebase. In version 1.1.0 build 13 and later, analytics and advertising measurement start only after you choose Allow measurement. Previous analytics-only permission is not automatically expanded to this new purpose; players who previously declined remain opted out. Versions from 1.0.0 build 9 used a separate analytics-only choice. You can play without sharing, and turn it off at any time under Privacy & Support. Earlier TestFlight builds enabled analytics on startup. It records events such as starting and ending a game, tutorial steps, block placements, line clears, combinations, building merges, landmark discoveries, scores, and setting changes. Session timing, app version, and device and operating-system information are also processed.

Firebase assigns a pseudonymous app-instance identifier to distinguish installations. Google Analytics can derive a general geographic area from network information such as an IP address; the game does not request GPS access. Pseudonymous information is not the same as anonymous information.

We use this information to understand how the game is played, balance difficulty, improve tutorials and features, and measure whether players return. We do not send a custom player name or account ID, the full game board, or touch-movement recordings to Analytics.

Advertising measurement

With your measurement permission, we use Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Ads on-device conversion measurement to understand which advertising brings players to the game. Advertising storage and advertising user-data consent follow this choice. Apple may also send delayed, privacy-preserving advertising attribution reports through SKAdNetwork. Apple Ads attribution helps us measure our own campaigns. These tools help connect advertising performance with installs and gameplay outcomes. Ad personalization remains disabled, and we do not access Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) or identifier for vendors (IDFV). We do not sell personal information. Earlier versions did not enable Google Ads on-device conversion measurement.

Service providers and retention

We require service providers handling data for us to protect it under applicable data-processing terms and the protections described in this policy. Google processes analytics information through Firebase and Google Analytics. Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Event-level data is retained according to the property's Google Analytics retention settings; aggregated reporting can be retained separately. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.

This help website does not include our game analytics SDK. Its hosting provider may process technical request information to deliver and protect the pages.

Your choices

Choose Play without sharing on first launch, or turn off Share analytics and ad measurement under Privacy & Support. This stops further optional analytics and Google measurement collection without affecting gameplay or saves. Apple attribution reports already scheduled by the operating system may still be delivered. Turning analytics off or removing the app does not automatically delete information already sent. To request access or deletion, email onurgenc@gmail.com and include the analytics ID shown in Privacy & Support, if available. We use that ID to locate the installation’s analytics record and handle requests through Google Analytics. We may be unable to locate older installation records after an uninstall or identifier change. We respond to requests and explain any applicable retention obligations.

Contact

For game support and privacy requests, email onurgenc@gmail.com. Messages you send are used to respond to your request and are not added to gameplay analytics.

Children

Block City! is a general-audience puzzle game and does not offer child accounts or ask players to provide personal contact information. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the game changes. The latest version and its revision date will be available on this page.
